Hello my name is Peter and i was told to make a blog so i have! It will mainly have a political focus with some stuff going on in my life i know there are very few people who will read this as i saw blogs as being mostly self serving drivle and i dont expect mine to be any different but hey at least i should give it a try.

I attended the first student protest down Whitehall and although I was not at Milbank tower I saw very clearly the police presence. The claim that there were not enough police there is just the Government trying to spin it. For example when I came closer to Trafalgar square 3 police vans carrying at least 8 Policeman per a van storm down the road but they were already on site yet they did not wear riot gear and as I walked round to the other side another copper was on a bike just watching them go by. Kettling is a tactic I would expect to see used by the High Chancellor not our Prime Minister.
